Crystal Palace advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory against League Two Hartlepool United on Saturday night.

Following up on his excellent round three performance at Millwall, Michael Olise once again stole the show with a devastating performance at Selhurst Park, nabbing a goal and an assist to lead the hosts to victory.

For the remainder of the first half, the visitors did well to ride numerous waves of Palace’s dangerous attacking quality, but they were hanging on by a thread as Jean Philipp-Mateta, Odsonne Edouard, and Olise came close to adding a third after the restart; impressive goalkeeping from Killip and a helping hand from the post kept Graeme Lee’s men just about in the game.

Despite avoiding conceding a second goal, Pool was unable to create any genuine chances in the second half, allowing Patrick Vieira’s side to comfortably and professionally see out the 2-0 victory.
