CSK’s Shane Watson starts seven-day quarantine in Dubai, shares video

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Shane Watson arrived in Dubai for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is now under quarantine for seven days.
Watson took to Twitter and shares a video in which he talked about how he will be spending time in quarantine for the next seven days.
“My 7-Day room bound quarantine here in Dubai has just started. It’s so cool to be here to get into the preparation for another exciting season of @IPL for @ChennaiIPL. #SafetyFirst #WhistlePodu #superexcited,.” he tweeted.
The former Australian all-rounder is the first player from the CSK squad to reach Dubai for the upcoming edition of the IPL. The rest of the squad comprising MS Dhoni will begin their journey on Friday.
Watson has been a part of Chennai franchise since 2018 and was one of the core reasons in them lifting the silverware.
The former Australian batsman earlier expressed his joy in joining his teammates via Twitter. He wrote, “On my way to another exciting IPL with Chennai Super Kings. This world is very different nowadays but we all have to do our part to stay safe and look after each other.”

Sixty IPL games will be played over 53 days across three venues – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The opening match of this edition will be played on September 19.
