India will lock horns with Sri Lanka on November 2nd and on November 5th, the Men in Blue will face South Africa. On that day, Virat Kohli will also be celebrating his 35th birthday. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, after learning that Kohli’s birthday falls on the match day, expressed his wish to see the talismanic batter score his 49th ODI century against the Proteas at the Eden Garden in Kolkata.

Kohli has already scored a century in this World Cup. He blasted an unbeaten 103 against Bangladesh and would have reached another three-figure mark against New Zealand but missed it after getting dismissed on 95 runs.

If Kohli registers his 49th ODI century, he will also equal Sachin Tendulkar‘s record. Tendulkar has slammed 49 centuries in the 50-over format and Kohli, in all possibilities, will surpass the Master Blaster.

Rizwan, during a practice session ahead of Pakistan’s match against Bangladesh, wished Kohli an advance happy birthday and expressed his desire to see him score the ton.

It's great to learn that his birthday falls on November 5th. I wish him the best and a happy birthday, even though I don't celebrate mine and don't believe in it.

CAB to distribute 70,000 Virat Kohli masks to the spectators on his birthday

The Cricket Association Bengal (CAB) is making arrangements to celebrate Virat Kohli’s birthday at the Eden Gardens. As per reports, CAB has planned to distribute a whopping 70,000 Virat Kohli masks to the spectators.

CAB president Snehashish Ganguly, during a media interaction, said that they need the approval of the International Cricket Council (ICC) to execute their special plans. He said CAB wants to make the day special and memorable for the Delhi-born batter.
