The triple threat match against Ivy Nile and Zory Stark was very important to win for the Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai. However, it wasn’t meant to be, as she failed to emerge victorious and ultimately qualify for the MITB ladder match. After a heartbreaking loss, the 36-year-old star broke her silence on social media.

Dakota Kai took to social media and sent a two-word message after failing to secure her ticket to Canada. It looked like she had lost all hope; she wrote that she had accepted whatever the result was and moved on from it. Ahead of her match, the Damage CTRL member became emotional about not having wrestled at a PLE as a singles superstar. It was her dream to accomplish that, and many fans felt she deserved to win.

Speaking about the match itself, Kai looked in complete control, delivering some hard-hitting offense. As she looked close to ending the match, the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, attacked Kairi Sane. Unfortunately, that distraction was costly for the 36-year-old star, as Zoey Stark capitalized and scored the win.

With Stark’s introduction, the ladder match will surely be a blockbuster at the Money in the Bank on July 6. Meanwhile, for Kai, who seemed heartbroken by the defeat, the road to performing as a singles wrestler at a PLE now looks very difficult. Only time will tell what’s next in her journey as a singles superstar.
