The qualifying matches for the final spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match took place on the latest episode of Raw. Prior to the match, the WWE Universe was firmly behind Dakota Kai. The Damage CTRL member squared off against Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile in a triple threat match. After a fast-paced encounter, Stark pinned Kai to punch her ticket to Toronto.
During the closing stretch of the bout, it seemed that the 36-year-old was close to securing her spot. However, The Unholy Union caused a distraction at ringside, allowing Stark to hit the Z-360 and pick up the win. Last week, Kai opened up about her lack of opportunities as a singles competitor on the main roster. Moreover, she cried while pleading for a chance to prove herself.

As such, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion gained the support of the fans on social media. Thereafter, she became the favorite to win the qualifying match on Raw. Since joining the main roster in 2022, Dakota Kai has been overshadowed by her Damage CTRL teammates, Iyo Sky and Bayley. Albeit, she was out with an injury for the majority of last year, which led to her missing the faction’s storyline.
Nonetheless, the WWE Universe believes it is time for Kai to shine on the main roster. After Sky and Bayley captured the world title, there have been calls for the Auckland-born wrestler to be catapulted to the main event scene on Raw. As for the Money in the Bank ladder match, Kai will be watching closely as the Genius of the Sky will be competing on Saturday.
WWE Universe reacts to Dakota Kai’s heartbreaking loss on Raw
Unsurprisingly, the majority of the WWE Universe was irate with Dakota Kai losing to Zoey Stark on Raw. As such, many called out Triple H for not pushing the Damage CTRL member. Moreover, others expressed their frustration by claiming that The Game ‘hated’ Kai.

Some fans couldn’t understand why Stark emerged victorious. Despite being on the main roster for over a year and being given several opportunities, she has failed to gain fans’ interest. Therefore, the WWE Universe believes that the 30-year-old shouldn’t have qualified.
Interestingly, there were a few fans who saw the positive side of things. Users online speculated that this could lead to a long-term storyline involving Kai and Damage CTRL, which would culminate in her becoming a singles star. Needless to say, only time will tell what’s in store for the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.
