The 2025 NASCAR Cup season had an impressive start, with 2020 Bill France Cup winner Chase Elliott producing a solid run to get to the victory lane. It had some wild moments, which the Madhouse is infamous for and some notable green flag racing, with enough passes on the track. But not all NASCAR fans were impressed with the race.
Some were critical about the over aggressive racing in the last chance qualifying, while others disliked the green flag runs with minimum incident on the main event. There were some fans who made both of these comments online, to the disdain of Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was livid about the double standard of some of these fans.
I know there were some people that were a little bit shocked. They were saying that it was too rough. Too rough. Too many laps. It took too long to run the last chance race… Then you got what you wanted, I guess, in the main event because the majority of the back half of the main event was nothing but just green flag laps and cars just kind of (going).

After initially keeping it calm, Junior lost it and used some NFSW language to share his feelings about these comments. He pointed out that the fans should realize they can’t always have whatever they want.
What the f**k do you want? This ain’t walking in and have it your way, motherf**ker. All right? This ain’t Burger King.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. gives fans advice on how to root for NASCAR
In the same podcast, Dale Jr. shared his advice for the fans on how to get over when races don’t go the way they like. He asked them to be like him, as he got over the Cookout Clash not being on the level he wanted and just accepted as it is.

Be like me, all right? Be like me. Let me tell you, be like me. I didn’t love the main event. I wanted them to be more physical. I wanted that. They weren’t. But I’m not going to poopoo on the whole thing because I didn’t get exactly what I wanted in the main event.

The advice from Junior is something the fans should take to their heart, as the uncertainty over how a race is going to playout is a factor that makes races special. It would be interesting to see how if Junior comments going influence the fans to think different.
