Damian Lillard confronted with GloRilla’s flirty message on return to NBA
Damian Lillard bumped straight into the reporter's question concerning his past interaction with rapper GloRilla at media day.

Damian Lillard was in attendance on the first day of the 2024 NBA season with the media. A question from the reporter took aback the Milwaukee Bucks star, and it wasn’t about any of his plays, but rather about his relationship with rapper GloRilla.
During Damian Lillard’s interaction with the reporter, he did not hesitate to ask him about GloRilla ‘shooting her shot’. Penny for his thoughts, Lillard was visibly surprised by the question. After a couple of seconds of silence, he chuckled and gave the fans clarity on his relationship with the rapper. Lillard started out by mentioning that he liked to keep his life private. Regardless of this, he followed it up by saying that besides mutual respect, there was nothing going on between the two.
We know each other. She’s an artist; I’m an artist, but as far as anything else, it ain’t nothin’ goin’ on. That’s what I can tell you.

Lillard and GloRilla first linked up in the 2024 NBA All-Star game in Indiana. Subsequently, the American rapper shared a picture with him on social media. Not just that, she openly stated her interest in the NBA star. In a follow up post, she penned that she was ready to compete with anybody and eradicate the competition.
In a turn of events, her tweet did get to Lillard’s ex-wife Kay’La Hanson. Hanson and the NBA player tied the knot back in 2021 before filing for a divorce in 2023. Circling back, Hanson took a shot at the ‘No More Love‘ singer on social media post the latter’s arrest for driving under influence. The tweet called for further bad blood between the two.
GloRilla opened up about Damian Lillard on Club Shay Shay
A collaboration between rapper GloRilla and sports analyst Shannon Sharpe was not on people’s bingo list for the year. The former dropped by the latter’s Club Shay Shay podcast to spill some snippets of her life, including the one featuring NBA star Damian Lillard. Turns out, the TGIF artist was practicing her ‘you only live once‘ lifestyle when she shot her shot.
Sharpe did not waste his time enquiring the rapper about the ‘Stephen Curry shot‘ she pulled on Lillard. GloRilla pulled a coy on Sharpe as she recalled what she called her ‘halfcourt shot’. Cryptically, she responded that at the end of the day, ‘the day was gonna end.’
Sharpe did not ask her forth and left it at that. However, the interview was from the month of March, wherein the sports commentator mentioned Lillard left the topic at ‘no comments‘. The vague responses gave the fans a very different idea which was then shattered after the NBA star’s recent reply over the situation.
