Hollywood star takes NASTY vaccine dig at death of Dikembe Mutombo
Hollywood actor Rob Schneider made a controversial statement after the death of NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo.
NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo and Rob Schneider
The basketball community is still mourning the death of NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo. The kind-hearted giant, as he was known, was much beloved for not only his finger-wagging plays on the court but also for his innumerable kind acts. Despite that, infamous Hollywood star Rob Schneider decided to use Mutombo’s death to stir the pot.
After the news of Mutombo’s death spread, Schneider reposted an old video from Mutombo’s official X account. In that video, Mutombo can be seen asking his fans to get vaccinated. Along with that video, Schneider wrote a caption suggesting that his death was caused by his decision to get vaccinated.
Rest in Peace…

I’m sure this is just (another) coincidence.
But I took a pass on the Jab and I’m gonna not let anyone I know (and who will Listen) get it either! https://t.co/iVMOu9lTfr
The actor decided to leave no stone unturned in his efforts to speak against the COVID-19 vaccine. This was just another instance of Schneider intentionally bringing up uncomfortable discussions. He has been talking against the COVID-19 vaccine ever since the US and other governments brought it in.
The 60-year-old has been vehemently against the vaccines and advocated that they did not do anything to curb the spread of the virus. Especially the side effects. He related the basketball Hall of Famer’s death to those side effects, despite Mutombo receiving treatment for brain cancer since 2022. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year passed away on September 30.
LeBron James faced the full strength of Dikembe Mutombo
The Los Angeles Lakers were holding their official media sessions for the upcoming season when the news of Dikembe Mutombo’s death began to spread. When asked by reporters for his memories of the great defensive ace, LeBron James recalled getting his face fractured by ‘Mount Mutombo’ on his birthday.
This was during the first few seasons of James’ NBA career, with the encounter with Mutombo resulting in him needing to wear a mask.
“He fractured my face on my birthday in Cleveland.” 😅🤕

Dikembe Mutombo blocked shots and grabbed rebounds on his way to the Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the epitome of what an interior defensive presence should be. Many players since have tried to emulate his game, but few have done it as gracefully as the 58-year-old.
The basketball community has lost one of its greatest ambassadors. In his nineteen seasons in the NBA, Mutombo amassed eight All-Star appearances and multiple accolades. But his impact went far and beyond the walls of the basketball arena.
