Damian Priest defeats Finn Balor at Bad Blood (via WWE)
The third match on the Bad Blood card saw former Judgment Day teammates Damian Priest and Finn Balor finally square off against each other. After a swift back-and-forth encounter, The Archer of Infamy won against The Demon.
Straightaway, Priest unleashed a brutal punch to Balor. Furthermore, the former World Heavyweight Champion effortlessly threw around his ex-tag team partner. Priest followed this up with a kick on the apron as the action spilled to ringside. A slinglay by The Prince led to him taking control of the match.
After a few minutes of dominating the proceedings, Priest came back with a series of punches and kicks. The Puerto Rican star then hit a Falcon Arrow for a two-count. Furthermore, he delivered Razor’s Edge for yet another near fall. Priest hit another one on the ring apron and looked close to victory. However, Carlito and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day arrived to help Finn Balor.
This distracted the referee, allowing Balor to deliver a Coup de Grace on his rival only for Priest to kick out. Once Carlito and McDonagh were out of the picture, it was curtains for the former Universal Champion. Despite hitting consecutive Coup de Grace’s on the back, Damian Priest was able to counter with a South of Haven Chokeslam and pick up the win at Bad Blood.
