Damian Priest shocked the WWE Universe when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL. He became a staple of the red brand as the World Heavyweight Champion and a member of The Judgment Day. Discussing his expectations for his title reign, he aimed to emulate the success of his past rival.

While speaking on the Rob Brown Show, Damian Priest expressed his desire to defend his title anywhere and against anyone. He wants to take inspiration from the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, and intends to become a champion like him. The Archer of Infamy aimed to present himself as a fighting champion in front of the fans, much like The Visionary.

Rollins became the first to hold the prestigious title after he defeated AJ Styles in the tournament finals at Night of Champions on May 27 last year. Since then, he has defended the title against the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, and Finn Bálor, beating all of them. The 37-year-old star finally lost his title to The Scottish Warrior in a gruesome battle at WrestleMania XL.

I want to be the type of champion that Seth Rollins was, a workhorse. I want to defend the title. I want to take on everyone and anyone at any point. When it comes to the roster, I want a piece of everybody.

Priest recently defeated Jey Uso to retain his title at Backlash in France. Remaining true to his claim of defending his championship, The Archer of Infamy also granted McIntyre an opportunity once he gets cleared from his injury. Currently, WWE has not decided on his next opponent. It will be interesting to see whether Priest defends his title at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE or not.

Karrion Kross teases a match with Damian Priest in the future

There is no denying that after becoming the World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest has a target on his back. Many superstars are waiting for that one opportunity to dethrone him from the top position. One of those stars is Karrion Kross, who teased a match with the World Heavyweight Champion on social media.

The Harbinger of Doom took to social media and responded to a fan who wanted him to go after the champ. Both stars do share a history with each other, as Kross pinned The Judgment Day member to win at NXT New Year’s Evil in 2021. If he does get the opportunity to fight him for the title, this will be his very first title match since his debut on the main roster.

When he returned from a four-month hiatus and formed The Final Testament, fans hoped to see him get a push, but somehow that didn’t work out. He and AOP lost in the Philadelphia Street Fight against The Pride at WrestleMania XL. During the recently concluded 2024 WWE Draft, the whole faction was drafted to Monday Night Raw.
