Rhea Ripley’s injury will cause her to miss several weeks of WWE programming. And amidst her absence, Damian Priest appears to have taken over as the leader of The Judgment Day. On Raw last night, the World Heavyweight Champion ordered Dominik Mysterio to take care of Ricochet and Andrade alongside JD McDonagh.
The Puerto Rican was seen scolding “Dirty” Dom in Spanish. JD McDonagh stood outside the ring, looking visibly confused at what was happening. The 34-year-old tapped the Hall of Famer’s son on his leg and asked what Priest said to him. The World Heavyweight Champion overheard them and leaned over the ring ropes to talk to McDonagh.

As a result, Priest showed his world title to the Irish wrestler and told him that he did not need anyone. Instead, it was McDonagh and Mysterio who needed him. Prior to this segment, the former North American Champion was supposed to face Ricochet and Andrade in a tag team match. However, “Dirty” Dom asked Escobar to take his place instead, as he claimed to have an injury. The heels ended up losing the match on RAW after the Irish wrestler took a pin from Andrade.
This forced Priest to take matters into his own hands. The Puerto Rican entered the ring and laid a beatdown on the babyfaces. And he made sure that his fellow Judgment Day members knew their places. After the verbal barrage, Mysterio and McDonagh looked visibly scared of this new side of Damian Priest.
Damian Priest makes a star appearance at the New York Yankees game
Shortly after his successful Money in the Bank cash-in at WrestleMania XL, Damian Priest made a high-profile appearance at a New York Yankees game. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion was spotted with several Yankees players, such as Aaron Judge. The MLB star also held Priest’s belt during a photo shoot.

After meeting a few more star members of the Yankees team, the Puerto Rican joined the commentary booth. The 41-year-old talked about his experience of finally winning the title as well as his love for baseball and, more specifically, the Yankees.
The WWE Universe was happy to see the newly crowned champion bask in his glory by receiving mainstream attention. Additionally, it was a great move by the WWE to find ways to expose its product to a new audience.
