Dana White‘s close friendship with President Donald Trump has strengthened his ties within the Trump administration, including Kash Patel. The recently appointed FBI director, Patel, is an avid UFC enthusiast and shares a good relationship with White. Patel proposed a bold collaboration between UFC and federal initiatives, aiming to promote self-defense, fitness among agents.

The proposal has elicited mixed reactions within the FBI. Some agents view it as unconventional, while others see potential benefits in enhancing agents’ combat readiness. As of now, no formal agreement has been established between the FBI and the UFC. In a recent interview, White talked about this in detail and shared the significance of such collaboration.

UFC fighters have been training law enforcement military guys for years. When you talk about hand to hand combat, these guys should know Jiu-jitsu and they should know Muay Thai and all the different things that are the basics of MMA.

White explained that there is nothing controversial in this plan as every official should learn to defend without the use of firearms. Following the reports, former UFC lightweight interim champion Justin Gaethje also showed interest in participating in the collaboration. Going forward fans are excited to see how this plan shapes up.

This proposal is part of broader FBI reforms, including relocating staff from Washington D.C. to local field offices for improved decentralization. These restructuring efforts reflect policy directions associated with the Trump administration, during which Kash Patel was appointed as FBI Director. Patel’s proposal draws influence from Deputy Director Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent known for his enthusiasm for the UFC.

Yeah (it’s concerning), I don’t know enough about the GFL to really speak on it but yeah, it’s a lot harder than it looks, it’s a lot harder than it looks. (I pay no attention to it), that’s why I don’t know a lot about it, literally none. Obviously, anywhere these guys can go and make money, either on their way up or on their way down, it’s a great thing, but I don’t pay any attention to any of that stuff anymore
