Tony Ferguson has fought last time at UFC 249 against Justin Gaethje. The two had fought inside the temporary Jacksonville COVID-19 bubble. However, Ferguson lost that fight to Gaethje through a fifth round TKO.

Gaethje was the late replacement for UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Earlier, Khabib vs Ferguson was scratched for the fifth time but the coronavirus crisis didn’t let Nurmagomedov fly from Russia.

Before Ferguson lost to Justin Gaethje, he was on a 12 fight winning streak which stretched back to his win over Mike Rio at UFC 166 in 2013. Ferguson has defeated big names like Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Kevin Lee and Rafael dos Anjos.

Poirier has fought last time against Dan Hooker at the UFC Apex. He won the fight via an unanimous decision. Poirier has lost earlier to Khabib and that loss had ended his six-fight winning streak.
