“I’m done with all the woke bullsh**!” Dana White goes off on America’s political climate and refuses to give in to political correctness

Dana White no longer gives any importance to anything negative and has had enough of playing the politically correct card or the woke card. Being the CEO of the biggest MMA promotion in the world does come with a certain level of responsibility. However, White has a very different way of dealing with politics related to the fighting business.

Dana White recently sat down with political commentator Bill Maher and talked about his current preferences. During the conversation, White talked about his active choice to stay away from wokeism. The 54-year-old mentioned that he has no plans to participate in unnecessary games of the media.

I'm at this point of my life, where any type of negativity, I cut it out of my life….I'm done with all the woke bullsh** and all the games and all the media fucking 'gotcha' bulls**t.

White is known for saying whatever he likes and not bending down to the pressure of woke and cancel culture. The UFC CEO is a true supporter of free speech and has backed his opinion that people should be able to say whatever they want without any censorship in the US.

It was most recently seen when White defended Sean Strickland from an LGTQ-ally reporter in Canada. White mentioned how his sponsors had tried to dictate how he behaved or how things were handled inside the UFC. This was the reason why he had taken a zero-tolerance approach to such requests. White had always refused to bow to such demands from sponsors.

UFC fighters often get into problems by sharing their views on public forums without any filter. Given the nature of the sport, athletes like to express themselves fully without thinking about political correctness. While many media houses are concerned about it, Dana White doesn’t care about it.

Ahead of UFC 297, Sean Strickland made some controversial comments about LGBTQ and Justin Trudeau. This did not sit well with some woke crowd. As such a journalist asked White if he wanted to have a leash around Strickland. Upon hearing the question, White decided to defend his fighter and uphold free speech.

I don't give anybody a leash. A leash? Free speech. To control what people say, to tell people what to believe? I don't f*g tell any other human being what to say, what to think and there are no leashes on any of them…. That's ridiculous to say I give somebody a leash. Free speech brother.

UFC is a platform for the top fighters all around the world to come and showcase their talent. White doesn’t think his company should stop fighters from saying what they think because they are part of the organization.
