Belal Muhammad upset a lot of people when he beat Leon Edwards at UFC 304. Many fans believe Dana White was one of those people. The video of the UFC CEO wrapping the belt around the new welterweight champion went viral on the internet. Now the head honcho addressed the entire ordeal in a recent interview.

Dana White recently sat down for an interview with Kevin Iole. During their conversation on Iole’s YouTube channel, White talked about his thoughts on Belal Muhammad becoming champion. They also talked about the viral video of him wrapping the belt around his waist.

Everybody thinks that I don't like Belal, stuff posted that like Dana is going to commit suicide right now because Leon, that's the furthest thing from the truth.

White revealed the real reason behind his sullen look while wrapping the belt. The UFC CEO said that he was tired and in a bad mood. It was odd timings at UFC 304, where the fight was in the US time zone. The main card started at around 3 am in the morning in the UK.

The UFC CEO was also disappointed at the performance at UFC 304. Even after a hefty bonus, nobody seemed to have gone the extra mile to put on an exciting performance. White later declared at the post-fight press conference that he would never put on any such offer ever again.

Dana White reveals CRAZY statistic on Belal Muhammad’s belt wrap

UFC 304 was not the biggest PPV event in UFC history. However, it did manage to set up an interesting record. Turns out the views on Belal Muhammad’s belt wrap were the highest it has ever reached since Dana White started wrapping belts around champions.

During his interview with Kevin Iole, White revealed Muhammad’s belt wrap video was a whopping 14 million views ahead of UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall‘s belt wrap video. It is currently sitting at 21.9 million views on Dana White’s Instagram page.

To put it into perspective, the belt wrap for Tom Aspinall did 8.2 million views. Belal’s belt wrap did 22 million views, 22 million!

‘Remember The Name’ scored the unanimous decision victory over the Brit. It was a dominant performance, and he successfully avenged the disappointing ending in their previous encounter at UFC Fight Night 187.
