Francis Ngannou terrorized Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 260, as he knocked the heavyweight champion out in only the second round, to clinch the heavyweight title. ‘The Predator’ rectified the mistakes he made during their first bout at UFC 220, as he exhibited brilliant takedown defense, neatly executed leg kicks. And, training with Kamaru Usman seemed to have done a world of good to his grappling abilities.
Speaking at the UFC 260 post-fight conference, UFC president Dana White was in awe of Francis Ngannou’s performance and warned his next potential opponent Jon Jones to move back to the light-heavyweight division, after Jon had called out Francis Ngannou.
‘Do you really want to?’ – Dana White to Jon Jones
White was quoted as saying, “If I am Jon Jones and I am home watching this fight, I start moving to 85 [light heavyweight]. I can sit here all day and tell you, you know what, show me the money mean. I tell you guys this all the time, you can say you want to fight somebody. But, do you really want to?” [H/T FirstSportz]
Ngannou has been knocking out opponents for fun, and right now he looks more intimidating than ever. He has clearly worked out on a lot of areas where seemed to be lacking.
Jon Jones, on the other hand, has all the technical know-hows to see off Ngannou. However, no one has ever had a clue to the power possessed by Ngannou. Once a strike from the Cameroonian lands clean, it is lights out.
