Dana White and his gambling tendencies remain a story well-known by the MMA community. He has won money for various influencers, and left the casinos multiple times with million dollar profits. However, people close to him do not like his gambling tendencies. Joe Rogan has spoken about White’s gambling tendencies multiple times, citing a need to stop such acts.

This time, it was UFC CBO Hunter Campbell’s turn to give the CEO a reality check. Campbell and White attended Adin Ross’s Brand Risk Promotions fight card ahead of UFC 314 this weekend. The trio spoke about various topics on commentary, with gambling becoming the most viral one. It was at this time that Campbell expressed his worries over the UFC CEO gambling.

I’ll watch him, and I, literally, some days call him in the morning and I say, I love you. I feel f**king sick. I literally went home last night at 3 in the morning, and I feel sick after watching what you did to yourself. Even if he wins, it’s like unnecessary trauma, I don’t understand.

Moreover, Campbell said he doesn’t have a thing for gambling like White and Ross did. It is very well-known that Adin Ross gambles a lot. As such, he has collaborated with the UFC CEO multiple times in the past. Hunter Campbell wanted Ross to quit because he was so young. Ross admitted to Campbell that it was hard to get out of the table after the gambling begins.

The UFC CBO also said that Dana White had gambling tendencies more than anyone he’s seen in his life. This makes Campbell a bit worried about his superior and ‘partner in crime.’ The segment ended with Campbell revealing that he would never gamble, and Adin Ross telling the viewers that they were not promoting gambling.

Is Hunter Campbell going to replace Dana White in the future?

There will come a time when Dana White leaves his role as the UFC boss. It may not be anytime soon, but that day will come. Who will succeed him? This is a question long discussed by UFC fans and analysts around the world. Some believe the opportunity could go to an ex-fighter with brand face potential. However, many believe that Hunter Campbell is the one who will replace White.

Most importantly, Campbell holds deep respect from the fighters in the UFC. Most fighters give a special mention to Campbell during their post-fight victory speech. In fact, UFC star Michael Chandler revealed that the UFC CBO handles all the behind-the-scene negotiation and paperwork in the UFC.

Infamously, a UFC documentary captured Hunter Campbell convincing an injured Aljamain Sterling to fight Sean O’Malley at UFC 292. Campbell’s usage of words was labeled ‘manipulative’ by the UFC fan base. Only someone with backstage power and influence makes such a decision, and Sterling’s manager sat without saying anything. In the end, Campbell convinced Sterling to fight through injury against O’Malley, a bout which he lost via knockout.

This incident made the UFC fans believe that Campbell could succeed White when he retires. It was Hunter Campbell who negotiated with Jon Jones for the Stipe Miocic bout. In fact, the duo negotiated in a parking lot of all places. He is now spearheading the negotiations with Jones for the Tom Aspinall unification bout, and the British star has recently spoken positively about the fight negotiations.

All these incidents suggest that Campbell remains the top candidate to replace White in the future. The UFC CBO has slowly turned into the most influential figure in the promotion despite only joining the promotion in 2017 after Endeavor bought Zuffa (UFC’s parent company at that time).
