Ever since US President Donald Trump announced the UFC White House event in mid-2025, anticipation steadily built around the historic showcase. CEO Dana White worked tirelessly behind the scenes, overseeing production. His involvement helped ensure UFC Freedom 250 was executed smoothly. Recently released viewership numbers have now highlighted the scale of the landmark event’s success.
The released ratings underscored the massive reach of UFC Freedom 250 in the United States. Paramount reported an average audience of seven million viewers nationwide for the historic card.
A total of 15.26 million Americans watched the event at some point during the lengthy broadcast. The White House showcase also became the most-watched live stream in Paramount+ history to date.
The event’s viewership was well above that typically seen for major UFC broadcasts. By comparison, UFC 324 averaged 4.96 million viewers and peaked at 5.93 million concurrent streams during its main card.
The Freedom 250 card, on the other hand, drew 17 million viewers across the United States and Latin America. The results established a new benchmark for UFC events in the Paramount+ era.

However, the final audience figures still fell short of the lofty expectations set before the event. White and United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio had predicted viewership comparable to Super Bowl-level numbers across North America. The UFC boss also revealed that roughly 130,000 people attended pre-fight festivities. That total included around 60,000 fans at the ceremonial weigh-ins held on the Ellipse.
Before the event, White also predicted the White House card would surpass the promotion’s groundbreaking 2024 Sphere event. UFC Noche at the Sphere reportedly carried a production cost of roughly $20 million. However, reports indicate that UFC Freedom 250 operated on an estimated $60 million budget. That figure made it one of the most expensive and ambitious events in UFC history.
Ultimately, UFC Freedom 250 delivered record-setting numbers and validated the promotion’s investment. While it fell short of Dana White’s projections, its viewership was historic for MMA.
Joe Rogan later claimed the event generated more than 150 million viewers, likely including replays and delayed viewing. Unlike live ratings, those figures can include audiences who watched after the broadcast ended due to the word of mouth.
Dana White reveals how the UFC Freedom 250 was almost delayed by a major storm
When the UFC White House event was announced, expectations were immediately sky-high for the historic showcase. As fight week approached, many noted it was the promotion’s first major outdoor event in years. That reality raised concerns about weather delays and other challenges. According to Dana White, one of the biggest issues involved gnats and other insects interfering with operations.

The weather concerns proved justified throughout fight week. The ceremonial weigh-ins were delayed by rain, while the June 14 event itself also faced a 30-minute weather delay. Although a protective claw structure was built above the Octagon, a major storm during the card could still have created significant challenges. However, White later revealed that the weather ultimately cooperated during the event.
I thought the weather was perfect last night. The weather was actually better tonight. So, we’re sweating the storm all day. Beautiful all day, and then it’s looking like from six to nine there’s gonna be a storm. And this is crazy, but the storm literally went like this. It split and went around the White House. So — and the breeze was perfect, just everything. You couldn’t have had a better night. It was absolutely perfect. Just enough wind to keep the bugs off us. I mean, all that I was worried about played out perfectly.

Many had raised concerns about staging such a major event outdoors. Joe Rogan was also vocal about his dislike for uncontrolled settings, citing the unpredictable challenges they can create. However, UFC Freedom 250 ultimately overcame those concerns without major disruption. The event delivered a spectacular show and an unforgettable night on the White House South Lawn.
