“I pointed at him and said don’t play with me, Cause I’ll smack him in the face,” Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul confronted each other at UFC 261
Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul
UFC 261 was one of those nights that will go down straight in the record books. The fight fans around the world will be buzzing about this card for a really long period of time.
There were five fights in the main card and all ended with a stoppage. It started with Anthony Smith hitting a devastating leg kick to Jimmy Crute, followed by Chris Weidman breaking his leg almost in the same fashion Anderson Silva did against him.
In the first title fight of the night, Valentina Shevchenko showed great takedown offense and dominated Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas knocked out Weili Zhang to become the new strawweight champion.
The fans were recovering from these fights but in the main event, Kamaru Usman gave them a highlight reel for life by knocking out Jorge Masvidal. Not only this one more interesting thing happened at UFC 261, i.e. Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul came face to face.
In the middle of the preliminary fight between Alex Oliveira and Randy Brown, the crowd began chanting ‘fu*k you Jake Paul’ loudly. That’s when Joe Rogan realized that Jake Paul made his way to the arena.
That’s when Daniel Cormier revealed that he had some altercation with Jake Paul after their back and forth on Ben Askren. Cormier says, “I just saw Jake Paul and I pointed at him and said don’t play with me,”
“Cause I’ll smack him in the face. He’s right there. I’ll slap him. I don’t play those games, Joe.” After that Cormier went to Jake Paul and they both exchanged some harsh words between each other before security intervened.
Jake Paul fired shots at Daniel Cormier right away
After their face-to-face confrontation at UFC 261, Jake Paul again fired shots at Daniel Cormier right away. He shared a video of D.C. talking to him face to face and Paul smiling at him.
With the caption, “Daniel Cormier online “Imma Smack Jake Paul when I see him” Daniel Cormier in person…” Judging by the reaction between these both what are your views on this. Do you think there is any chance D.C. will come out of retirement to shut him once for all?
