“The trouble seems to follow Jon,” Daniel Cormier assesses Jon Jones’ latest troubles for 2021

“The trouble seems to follow Jon,” Daniel Cormier assesses Jon Jones’ latest troubles for 2021

Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones

It’s a very unfortunate thing to know how a rare talent like “Bones” Jon Jones frequently gets in legal trouble time and again, and it’s also an uncomfortable situation to comment upon. However, Jones’ former Rival “DC” Daniel Cormier comments on the recent Jones situation- where “Bones” was involved in a domestic abuse case after viciously pulling his fiance’s hair followed by head butting a police vehicle after some time- tracing the patterns of his venues of past troubles.

Cormier says Dana (White- the UFC President) has said it multiple times ‘We can’t get him into Vegas, not even for 12 hours’ But what has been proven time and again is that the trouble seems to follow Jones because he’s gotten in trouble in Albuquerque, he’s gotten in trouble in New York. He’s gotten in trouble but this time it seems very serious.

Then “DC” continues with introspection to his words when he and Jones used to fight, “I said some things back in 2017 before we fought the second time, I spoke to mistakes and how when you make mistakes, they change you. Jones obviously doesn’t learn from the mistakes.”

Cormier follows by concluding “We never forced him to look in the mirror and re-evaluate his behaviors outside because all the bad behavior still led to success. So why change it? It’s unfortunate.” Cormier further moves on saying that you can’t just say it but you actually have to do better.

Finally, he concludes “You’ve got to get it right. So if there’s a message from me, I take no pride in Jones being where he is today, and he’s in the stuff right now.” What I say to that man is just get it right. You’ve got to find a way to just try to get it right because it ain’t even about the fight career right now. He’s obviously made a ton of money. It’s about getting life right so you can be the role model you need to be for those three young girls that he has.”

Jon Jones has formerly been in legal trouble for various incidents. In 2012 for running over a pole in New York, in 2015 for crashing into a pregnant woman’s car in Albuquerque, in 2019 for battery and assault of a waitress in a strip club, and just last year only for driving intoxicated. Another incident this year is slowly but profoundly tarnishing the former UFC light-heavyweight champion’s legacy.
