Former Colts DT Daniel Muir charged with domestic battery for beating up his 14-year-old son Bryson Muir

There has been a breakthrough in the case of the missing 14-year-old son of former Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Daniel Muir. His son, Bryson, whose whereabouts were unknown since he was last seen on the 16th of June, has been found by the Indiana State Police and local authorities.

Bryson Muir has been found in his family’s home in Logansport. This came after law enforcement authorities obtained a search warrant on the house. It does not end there. The parents Daniel Muir and Kristin Muir have been arrested by the police and charged since.

Daniel Muir faces charges of obstruction of justice and domestic battery while his wife has been charged with obstruction of justice. This comes days after a Silver Alert was issued for Bryson by the authorities. Their concern was about the teenager being in a situation of grave danger.

Bryson Muir’s grandmother had approached law enforcement authorities over the disappearance of her grandson

The 14-year-old was last seen leaving his grandmother’s house on the 16th of June. Cheryl Wright, the grandmother, was concerned about his safety and well-being after he showed up at her house with a swollen eye, bruised lip, and other injuries to his face.

When asked about the injuries, Bryson gave a disturbing response.

He said that his dad did it, but he wasn’t angry at his father. He told me that he deserved it and it was OK.

Cheryl Wright revealed

Despite her attempts to convince him that it was not right for his parents to beat him, the boy allegedly insisted that he wanted to return to his parents’ home.

Bryson Muir was picked up by his parents on June 16th, shortly after when the car was pulled over following Wright’s complaint, Bryson was nowhere to be found in the car. The Indiana State Police approached Daniel and Kristen Muir to seek their cooperation in the investigation, to which they initially agreed. However, the couple then became uncooperative as they refused to bring Bryson to meet the investigators.

Daniel Muir is a former NFL defensive tackle who played for the Green Bay Packers, then spent the bulk of his career playing for the Indianapolis Colts before playing his final two seasons for the New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders.
