David Warner has been involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the past 16 years, debuting in 2009 for Delhi Daredevils. The Australian great has often shown his appreciation for India and its culture, especially its cinema. 

David Warner recently starred in an advertisement by Cred UPI, where he could be seen shooting for a Telugu film directed by RRR fame, S. S. Rajamouli. He put up an Instagram post, showing the behind-the-scenes. In the post he joked about how he wanted to be eligible for an Aadhar card.

Seeing the post, Delhi Capitals uploaded a video poking fun at Warner. The video saw Warner and a content creator trying to form a plan- ideas like watching a movie, a free meal and much more, but Warner rejected them all, saying “nahi yaar (No my friend).” Finally he was ready to move when he found out he was getting a free Aadhar card. 

David Warner gives his thoughts on the Impact Player rule

The Impact Player rule is quite the controversial topic currently in the cricketing world. Bowlers in the IPL are calling for the rule to be discontinued, believing it makes things much more convenient for batters.

David Warner gave his opinion on the rule, being in favor of it. He suggested that the IPL could soon move toward more radical rules like it, and hoped the IPL soon moved towards 5 overseas players in a playing 11. 

Play five overseas players. You need to play five. You have got 12 players that are playing anyway at the moment, so you might as well make it five.

Warner and DC are currently 8th in the IPL points table, with only three wins in eight matches. They now face Gujarat Titans on 24th April in the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Warner has not had a good season so far, managing only 167 runs in seven innings.
