The NASCAR community was in shock when a 23XI Racing and Front Raw Motorsports alliance sued the sport, alongside it’s owners, alleging monopolistic practices. Initially the team won the injunctions, but recently they faced a major lose in the appeal court that could cost them their charters, if their appeal is thrown out. 23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin recently addressed this situation.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver pointed out that, he and his compatriots are fighting NASCAR, in a risky move that could cost them millions, with goal of making the long-standing system fairer. Denny Hamlin promised the fans on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that the litigation is going to produce an end result that will make everyone involved better in the future.

We are fighting for a fairer system for everyone. While it’s 23XI/Front Row versus NASCAR in this litigation, this is for the drivers, the teams, the fans, everyone. I can promise you, the end result of this could be that it is better for everyone in the future and that’s what we want is just a fairer system for everyone.

Denny Hamlin said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Further talking about the loss, he admitted that the situation is bit too complicated with the multiple injunctions and motions alongside the lawsuit, making it impossible to keep track of. Once the trial starts on December 1 this year, the racing community will get a better understanding regarding the true meaning the fight.

I understand it’s very complicated. There’s so many motions and stuff. I get it, it’s very hard to keep up with. There will be a day — Dec. 1 — where we’ll have our day in court and I believe people will be more educated about what this fight is all about.

Denny Hamlin explains who deserves credit for his new JGR record

So, who deserves the credit for his impressive performance in the last two decade? Well according to Hamlin it’s his team. He believes their team being one of the best organizations in the last four decades helped him to win so many races.

This is one of the best organizations over the last three-four decades. They’ve been great. For me to be the winningest driver, having my entire career there, and I don’t take for granted too that being with a team like that is a lot of the reason I have success.

Denny Hamlin said.

He admits that his skill isn’t enough to earn the 57 wins he has at the moment, as behind every successful athlete there is dedicated team. So he is always thankful to his team, especially bossman Joe Gibbs and his No:11 crew for the success.

The reason, my skill level doesn’t take us to 57 wins. It’s because I’m with a really, really good team. I think that that matters. Certainly, when we hang that banner today, it’s my job to give them thanks for the opportunities they’ve given me.

Denny Hamlin added.

The comment from Hamlin shows he string relationship with the team and why the team’s owner Joe Gibbs won’t hesitate twice to give the veteran the contract extension he asks for this season. They are on the way to secure 60 wins soon and it will be interesting to see if he can do it in 2025.
