The NASCAR Cup Series race last week ta New Hampshire saw driver using the Goodyear wet weather tier for the first time. The final 82 laps of USA Today 301 saw the tiers being used, with NASCAR taking the initiative to give the fans a full race they deserved on Sunday, after the race was delayed four a long-time due to heavy rain.

The tier call changed the game for many racers in the last lap and played a significant role on some driver getting better finishes while other dropped back. Few were quickly able to understand the tier and track easily move up. Now JGR veteran Denny Hamlin, while discussing on the same, named four driver who were really good in the condition.

The list included race winner and Hamlin’s teammate Charistopher Bell who had an impressive event. Alongside him were Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe who also had impressive races. The next-one on the list was Chase Elliott, whom the 23XI Racing co-owner believes had a bad finish because of some damage with the car.

I mean, I think that — you know, you’ve got [Kyle] Larson, [Chase] Briscoe has been good in these types of conditions. C Bell (Christopher Bell) comes to mind. Chase Elliott, although I’m surprised he didn’t run better. I don’t know if he had any damage or not. I just, you know, recall the race at COTA that they were having in the wet weather. Those are the ones that immediately draw my eye.

I’m optimistic about Nashville. I feel like we have had one of, if not the best cars there for the last few years with the NextGen. It’s a track where I have a lot of confidence that we can run up front and get a good finish.

The veteran would be hoping that he can get back to wining form and secure his fourth win of the season, ending the recent Chevy dominance. It would be interesting to see how the season will playout for the star driver.
