Chase Elliott is a professional stock car racing driver who drives full-time in the NASCAR Cup series for Hendrik Motorsports. The 2020 Cup series champion and one of the most marketable faces in the Cup series, Elliott was born on November 28, 1995, in Dawsonville, Georgia, to former Cup champion Bill Elliott and his wife, Cindy Elliott. The Elliotts are the third father-son duo to win the Cup title.
When was Chase Elliott’s NASCAR debut?
Elliott made his NASCAR debut in the Truck series after making a name for himself in the pro-late model series and becoming the youngest Snowball derby winner in 2013 for HMS. He made his full-time debut in the Xfinity series in 2014 for JR Motorsports. Elliott made his Cup debut in 2015 for HMS’s No:25 team, and in 2014, he took over Jeff Gordan’s No:24 squad and was later transferred to the No: 9 team.
How many NASCAR Championships has Chase Elliott won?
Chase Elliott’s maiden NASCAR win came in the Truck series in the Canadian Motor Park. His first Xfinity series win came in 2014 at Texas Motor Speedway, and he went on to win the Championship that year. He scored his maiden Cup race win in 2018 and the Championship in 2020. He has scored 18* Cup race wins, 5* Xfinity series win, and 3* Truck series wins in his career. He has won NASCAR Most popular driver Award for five consecutive seasons, starting in 2018.
