From the start of the game, the Los Angeles Lakers raced into a lead. Their performance helped seal the 1st quarter and spilled over into the 2nd quarter to give them a double-digit lead. Then, head coach Michael Malone called a timeout and instructed his players to take over the game. His players did just that, rallying behind Michael Porter Jr.‘s impressive streak. Then in the 2nd half, the Nuggets blew the Lakers away.

Nikola Jokic and his teammates flipped the game on its head in the 3rd quarter and never looked back. Even though the Lakers tried their best, they could not find an answer to the all-out domination by the Nuggets starters.

Despite getting elite performances from James and Anthony Davis, the rest of the squad was a letdown. They ended up turning over the ball 3 times as much as their opponents. The Nuggets seemed like they waited for the Lakers to show their hand and then adjust mid-game.
