Joe Joyce and Derek Chisora will fight in a highly exciting showdown in London. Chisora is coming in with more years in age and experience over 38-year-old Joe Joyce. He made sure to rub it in Joyce’s face at the media day.

Joe Joyce and Derek Chisora will face off in an all-British heavyweight showdown this July at the O2 Arena in London. The highly anticipated showdown will be broadcast on TNT Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the US. They had an intense press conference, where Chisora constantly tried to belittle the 38-year-old boxer.

Chisora kept trying to grab the dominant position in the interaction, telling Joyce that he was not “about this life.” He said that he did not care if they were there for a fight as he was simply there for violence and carnage. Meanwhile, Joyce reminded the 40-year-old boxer of his incident with the delivery driver.

“The Juggernaut” (Joe Joyce) comes into the fight with a record of 16 wins, 2 losses, and 15 knockout wins. He recently bounced back from two losses to Zhilei Zhang with a knockout victory over Kash Ali. Meanwhile, Derek Chisora, aka “War,” boasts a record of 34 wins, 13 losses, and 23 knockouts. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Gerald Washington.

Derek Chisora trolled Joe Joyce at the weigh-ins

Joyce and Chisora previously faced off at the final weigh-in in London making it quite a spectacle. To start, both fighters weighed in at a significant size difference. ‘The Juggernaut’ weighed in at 281.2 lbs, while 40-year-old Chisora came in as the smaller fighter at 256.7 lbs.

The two fighters had a significant difference of 24.5 lbs. This difference would affect their performance in the ring. However, that was not where it all ended that night. Chisora came in with a mask of Zhilei Zhang, who had previously defeated Joyce twice back in 2023.

The event will start at 7 p.m. UK time, with the main event ring walks expected around 10 pm. The fight card includes several other intriguing matchups, such as Dennis McCann vs. Ionut Baluta for the European super bantamweight title, Ryan Garner vs. Archie Sharp in the super featherweight division, and Moses Itauma vs. Mariusz Wach in the heavyweight division.
