“You lost to a WWE wrestler!” Dillon Danis gets trashed by ‘King of Violence’ Mike Perry for online trash-talk

Jake Paul and Mike Perry meet this weekend live on DAZN PPV from Tampa, Florida. Ahead of which, they attend pre-fight media availability rounds and discuss other opportunities in their journey so far.

UFC’s great castoff turned out to be a “King of Violence” in yet another premier promotion. Mike Perry is now the face of the BKFC brand. He also stands the best chance against influencer pugilist and renowned ‘Problem Child’ Jake Paul right now. It turns out, though, that he had his attention back on MMA for a brief, fleeting moment.

Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) faces Perry (0-1, 5-0 BKFC) in a 200-pound, eight-round traditional boxing match at Amalie Arena in Tampa this weekend. The bout streams live on DAZN pay-per-view. Mike Perry last ran through former UFC title challenger Thiago Alves, winning $600K in fight purse for that. Meanwhile, Dillon Danis has dubbed it all as “not real boxing”; Perry has chosen to snipe back.

It is something that could happen, but, you know, …the money wasn't really there. That would have been Misfits MMA…Dillon's a little sh*t…bro, like, he's a little sh*t. He tried sh*t talking like 'he got 30 pro fights'…you got two! And you lost a boxing match to a WWE amateur boxer wrestler.

Danis last faced an awkward DQ with the other brother, Logan Paul. During their Misfits Boxing: Series 10 face-off, things had gotten heated and Perry had to sub in instead of Paul. The duo have also sparred together. In a since-deleted tweet, Danis mocked Jake Paul for fighting people he knows he can beat. Either washed-out MMA veterans or (allegedly) people like Perry who do not know “real” boxing.

‘Platinum’ has always been open to testing it out against Danis. Now, he fires back, with the preemptive disses hitting close to home. Perry has already said the boxing bout with Paul is more about fighting up the ladder to face one and all legacy names. It is not just about fight purses. To that end, Danis feels really down the ladder. He got disqualified against an entertainment wrestler out of Ohio.

The fight week leading up to Saturday’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry boxing match continues with an open training session on Wednesday. This is one of the two scheduled bouts for Paul. He is to face consensus legend Mike Tyson in a heavyweight bout, in November, airing live on Netflix. Perry, a UFC veteran turned BKFC star, enters his second boxing match ever. He failed one back in 2015.

Both ‘Platinum’ and Paul stepped into the ring at Armature Works for open workouts. DAZN Boxing hosted an eventual free live stream of the festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT. Check out the event’s lineup and step into the ring in the video below:

Headliners Paul and Perry, along with Amanda Serrano, Ashton Sylve, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Uriah Hall, and others, were in tow. Perry, with his short grizzly cut and white trunks that spell out his grandeur, looked dashingly positive about getting a job done.

A UFC transition to end the reign of Paul, infamous for beating UFC guys? He says why not. Violent as ever, he even brought a trinket to symbolize a decapitated Paul. The mascot even got a beating to show that nothing gets in his way.

Meanwhile, longtime cruiserweight “El Gallo” is ravishing his recent buff-up. Paul looked as confident as ever, sporting solid musculature on the torso and a pair of neo-ski-goggles. While fans got a preview of the fighters, it’s yet anybody’s chance. Come this weekend, all bets are off.
