A rather repulsive incident encircling this week’s NXT has come to light. PWInsider is reporting that a man was ejected out of the NXT hotel in St. Louis not once, but twice. He was allegedly caught taking photos of the feet of female talent who were on site. It goes without saying how threatening that depraved act is to the dignity of all women who would’ve been shot on camera.
Similar incidents have occurred to female wrestlers in the past as well. The list wouldn’t end if one got to list down the extent of harassment they endure, especially at airports. Stalking has been a persistent issue for these wrestlers, regardless of their gender. Such practices have been condemned by those on the receiving end, with the latest example being CM Punk.
Back to NXT, last night’s show went head-to-head with the first hour of AEW Dynamite. The biggest story coming out of it was the arrival of Stephanie Vaquer. She was introduced by Giulia as one of her old friends who’d arrived to even up the odds against Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Last Tuesday, when NXT debuted on the CW Network, Perez put her NXT Women’s title on the line against Giulia.
Just when it felt like The Beautiful Madness was about to pull it off, a returning Jade screwed her up. In other news, Tony D’Angelo shocked everyone by rolling up Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship. St. Louis native and WWE legend Randy Orton also picked up a win over upstart Je’Von Evans.
However, Orton had to reset after a botched RKO attempt on Evans. After the match, the latter was allegedly apologizing to The Viper for messing it up. Randy calmed him down like a true veteran.
Fans lambast the accused for barging into female bubble at the NXT hotel
Since the story has come out, it has sparked a sense of disgust among the fans. They’ve voiced their displeasure on social media, demanding stringent security measures to be adopted right away.
Some are even clamoring for imposing a ban on that anonymous figure from attending WWE tapings. A fan claimed that guy needed to be brogue kicked by Sheamus. Memes and jokes aside, there’s an outcry from the fans who’re extremely upset at what went down.
Earlier this year, NXT’s creative lead Shawn Michaels underscored the importance of fostering a safe working environment for his roster, especially women who tend to be impressionable. HBK assured that there are certain regulations everyone adheres to.
