Novak Djokovic was once again criticized by netizens all due to his superfan Pavvy G, who has been constantly slamming Jannik Sinner since his two doping cases were made public by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). Fans have had enough of Pavvy G after the latter accused Sinner of not caring at all about his family.
Sinner, during his winner’s speech, dedicated his US Open title to his aunt Meggi Rauchegge, who was sick at that time. Rauchegge was Sinner’s mother Siglinde Sinner‘s sister who played an important role in the tennis player’s upbringing. But unfortunately for the Italian and his family members, his aunt died at the age of 56 on September 21 if Italian reports are to be believed.
I would like to dedicate this title to my aunt because she is really not feeling well health-wise. I don’t know how much longer I still have her in my life. It’s so nice that I can still share positive moments still with her. She was a very important person in my life, and she still is.Jannik Sinner said after beating Taylor Fritz in the US Open final
Pavvy G, however, made an insensitive comment, attacking Sinner for not “missing a single event for Gucci or the Olympics promotion.” He accused the 23-year-old of prioritizing “sponsors obligations” over family.

I should not give visibility to this person… but even after a major family bereavement, the attacks don't stop.

The question is why do several ATP players continue to interact with this bad person on this platform? pic.twitter.com/VUkbbpbzQc
Here’s how netizens slammed Pavvy G for his comment on Jannik Sinner
Fans are furious at Pavvy G for the comment involving Jannik Sinner‘s aunt. Tennis journalist, Bastien Fachan, stated that Sinner should consider taking legal action against Pavvy G.

The winds are changing. Finally! Some of the largest accounts on Tennis Twitter have begun to talk about the PavyG situation. @BastienFachan has called for Sinner's team to seek legal action. @jon_wertheim hinted Djokovic bears responsibility. pic.twitter.com/K6XKlP7s8X

The only problem is this kind of post and others are also feeding his engagement, he'll like this, ultimately leads to more clicks for him, more $ for him, he's crazy but I think he also knows outrageous posts get attention and even negative attention drives engagement/$

Hilarious that other people talk trash about this clown Pavyg on all other forums

Even those who are real Novax fans can't stand the idiot pic.twitter.com/ir9xJVtiqp
Disgusting and deeply unsettling. Jannik's team should consider taking legal action at that point

Pavvyg deleted that tweet but im sure if Sinner/his team digs deep enough they could maybe dig some records of past/deleted tweets and hopefully sue or something.

That Pavvy g guy is absolutely vile and pathetic.

He is obviously acting like a turnip for the engagement, but he is making a real fool of himself.
Even the Djokovic fanboys are getting sick of him
He actually gives a bad name to the real fans of Djokovic

It’s probably hard for some players to not interact when this guy lives his entire life to harass anyone not named “Novak Djokovic”. Unfortunately he’s everything terrible about Nolefam rolled into one person.

I try to not intensely dislike anyone online that I don’t know but this dude has earned his way onto that list pic.twitter.com/Ny2RmH6BRk

Sinner landed in hot water after he failed two drug tests in March this year. The ITIA cleared him of any wrongdoing as a banned anabolic steroid entered his system accidentally. As he did not have to deal with severe punishment, it divided the tennis community, with many criticizing the ITIA for not following the same process as many players in the past who also got contaminated without knowing, were banned for several years.
Novak Djokovic also joined others in calling out ITIA for their quick process, saying that he understood why there was an uproar about the case. ITIA published the report a few days before the start of the US Open, which Sinner won. He is now set to play at the China Open.
Djokovic, after taking home his first Olympic gold medal, was eliminated in the third round at Flushing Meadows. He recently played an exhibition event in Sofia and skipped the China Open where he won the title six times. His next destination is Shanghai as he will play the tournament for the first time since 2019.
