The fans found out on this week’s Raw that Dominik Mysterio will be out of action indefinitely. WWE didn’t outright mention the nature of Mysterio’s injury, though it has now been confirmed that the 28-year-old damaged his shoulder last weekend at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes event. The Judgment Day member, however, is fortunate enough to not need surgery.
Moreover, ‘Dirty Dom’ recently reacted to Liv Morgan‘s post on X, which affirmed it’s “Daddy Dom till death.” The 28-year-old wrote that he’ll be back soon, which falls in line with several media outlets reporting that he isn’t expected to be sidelined for long. The reigning WWE IC Champion also used an Austin Powers ‘Oh Behave’ GIF to get back to his Güerita.

Rey Mysterio‘s son won the Intercontinental title back from John Cena at Survivor Series. The climax of their match included the long-awaited return of Morgan, who, herself, had returned after months of layoff from a shoulder injury. The on-screen couple had a ruse up its sleeve to rob the 17-time world champion of the IC title belt, which saw the former women’s world champion going low on Cena.
WWE sources claimed to @FightfulSelect that it doesn't look like Dominik Mysterio will require surgery for his shoulder injury. The hope internally is that he will be cleared by Royal Rumble week.

‘Dom’ wasn’t inserted into any other major storyline immediately after finishing up his program with ‘The Cenation Leader’. And it ended up being a blessing in disguise with the current AAA Mega Champion out with a shoulder issue, which could’ve been worse. Fightful is reporting that WWE officials are expecting ‘Dirty Dom’ to receive the medical clearance by the Royal Rumble week.
Finn Balor cut a babyface-leaning promo on Raw addressing Dominik Mysterio injury while declaring his prime goal for 2026
It surely does seem like The Judgment Day can’t catch a break, and the injury bug has been relentless on the group of late. At first, it was Liv Morgan who had to be on the sidelines for a good part of the year after dislocating her shoulder in a match against Kairi Sane on Raw in June.

By the time she got back, JD McDonagh decided it was time to pump the brakes for a bit and fix what was broken. ‘The Irish Ace’ later revealed that he underwent surgery on his hand and promised it wouldn’t take long for him to get back on the road with WWE.
A couple of weeks after McDonagh’s revelation, Dominik Mysterio picked up a shoulder injury. And pretty much like his stablemate, the injury wouldn’t require the San Diego native to be on the sidelines for longer than a few weeks’ time. The lone unscathed male member of the villainous stable, Finn Balor, was interviewed by Byron Saxton on this week’s Raw.
While admitting that the Judgment Day has been raking up losses recently, ‘The Prince’ affirmed that he’ll bring championship gold to the clubhouse in 2026. A clean-looking Balor also got reminiscent of his time in NXT in Orlando and talked fondly about singlehandedly carrying that brand on his back. The inaugural Universal Champion vowed to emulate those exploits once again in the upcoming year.
This sounded like a babyface promo by Finn Balor.

That interview segment heavily reeked of a babyface Balor, which is something the fans had been clamoring for for a long time. WrestleVotes reported in late 2024 that the former Bullet Club leader was in line for a renewed singles push in 2025. But in hindsight, quite a misery. Isn’t it? However, his latest demeanor on Raw has restored a semblance of hope among his longtime followers that it might finally be his time this new year.
Also, if Balor were to turn babyface, he could dump the Judgment Day, and Dominik Mysterio, in particular, at some point in the early stages of 2026 to potentially set up a match between them at WrestleMania 42. WWE has teased a rift between Mysterio and Balor an umpteen times for the past year or so but never pulled the trigger on it. Could it finally happen in the months to come? Time will tell.
