Dominik Mysterio will become a household name in 2024, but few people know his history with WWE. When he was young, he appeared on WWE TV with his father, Rey Mysterio. In 2005, the legendary luchador was embroiled in a rivalry with Eddie Guerrero. What was special about this rivalry was that Dominik was at the center of it.

While speaking with Logan Paul on his podcast, Dominik Mysterio shared wild initial plans for him in the 2005 Custody Ladder match. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio collided in a ladder match with the contract of Dom Dom’s custody hanging in the air. However, according to the 27-year-old star, the initial plans for the match were completely different.

He revealed that the initial plans were to literally hang him from the cage. Dominik then changed his statement, revealing that WWE initially planned to hang him from the waist and keep him dangling in the air. However, those plans were never implemented, and a contract in a briefcase was hung above the ring. Rey won the match with the help of Eddie’s wife, Vickie Guerrero.

They wanted to hang me from a cage. Not even from a cage, they wanted to just actually hang me. Like on a waist thing and just like have me dangle there.

Fast Forward to 19 years later, the Judgment Day member has become the most hated superstar in WWE. He betrayed Rhea Ripley and aligned with Liv Morgan, helping her retain her title at SummerSlam. What happened on the following episodes of Raw, resulted in it a mixed tag team match between Dom Dom and Daddio, and Damian Priest and The Eradicator.

Dominik Mysterio said he is the greatest wrestling villain of all time

When Dominik Mysterio first debuted in WWE, he was just seen as Rey Mysterio’s son. However, his character changed after he turned heel at Clash at the Castle in 2022. The WWE Universe absolutely hated him when he joined Judgment Day, and fans didn’t even let him speak. Well, it looks like the 27-year-old star knows how hated he is, saying that he was the greatest wrestling villain of all time.

In a recent video on WWE’s YouTube channel, several superstars were asked who was the greatest wrestling villain in their opinion. While Grayson Waller took Randy Orton‘s name, Dom Dom was confident that he was already a greater villain than anybody else.

Other stars, like Wade Barrett, felt JBL was the greatest villain in WWE. The former Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair agreed the 27-year-old star was “pretty bad.” While Kevin Owens took Logan Paul’s name, Damian Priest went for the late great Scott Hall
