The race to be John Cena‘s last-ever WWE opponent will kick off in full swing on Raw this coming Monday. A 16-man ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament will determine the rightful contender to be the 17-time world champion’s dance partner in his wrestling swansong.

Multi-time women’s champion Natalya has called her shot regarding whom she wants to see lace up a pair of boots with Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the ‘Queen of Harts’ put her money on Dominik Mysterio.

She went on to highlight how the reigning Intercontinental Champion has defined himself outside of just being recognized as Rey Mysterio‘s son. ‘Nattie’ added that ‘Dom’ has found a way to step outside his legendary father’s shadow, and that’s all credit to the Judgment Day member.

The niece of Bret Hart is well aware of the cutthroat competition but is pulling for Mysterio to end up opposing Cena in his last WWE match. The longest-tenured female WWE wrestler elaborated on ‘Dirty Dom’ being her pick and called him a wildcard choice by adding that this first-ever moment would be insane.

There have already been talks within wrestling circles of late about Mysterio inevitably stepping into Cena’s playground sooner rather than later. In fact, a report from Dave Meltzer noted that WWE was planning for the 28-year-old to put his IC title on the line against ‘The Cenation Leader’ at Survivor Series later this month.

It’s unclear whether those plans have been dropped after what the fans witnessed on this week’s Raw. The outspoken Judgment Day member got confronted by his so-called deadbeat dad. The said facility was opened by Natalya and her husband, TJ Wilson, for budding wrestlers to level themselves up. A ton of WWE names have regularly hit the Dungeon for regaining in-ring mobility, especially in cases of months of ring rust stemming from serious injuries.

Natalya posted a picture of Cena posing with the entire Dungeon crew. She thanked the Peacemaker actor for giving them his valuable time. The 43-year-old woman’s wrestler lauded Cena for continuing to set new standards for leading from the front, inspiring others, and giving back to the business that has turned him into the megastar he is today.

Cena quoted a heartwarming reply to Nattie’s original post on X by praising her and her husband’s brilliance, ability, and generosity. ‘The Franchise Player’ underscored the dedication of the couple toward this industry by citing The Dungeon as its prime example.

Since the facility is operated on an invite-only model, the zero-cost fee needs one to pay it back in the form of their passion and giving it all that they have within themselves.

In the aforementioned photo, the fans spotted some familiar WWE main roster names like B-Fab and the current United States Champion, Ilja Dragunov. The latter also spent time at The Dungeon in the lead-up to his triumphant WWE return after spending over a year on the sidelines to recover from a torn ACL.
