Dominik Mysterio has openly expressed his animosity toward CM Punk on multiple occasions. As a member of The Judgment Day, Mysterio has consistently faced issues with The Best in the World—a rivalry that dates back to 2009, when Rey Mysterio was feuding with Punk. Recently, Dom revealed his true feelings about The Second City Saint, stating that he harbors nothing but pure hatred for him.

Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Dominik Mysterio dismissed CM Punk as old news. He stated that it no longer mattered what The Best in the World was doing, as Punk keeps gloating just to stay relevant. The Intercontinental Champion added that he despised Punk’s behavior, especially considering how long it took him to achieve everything.

I f*cking hate CM Punk. I don’t know what it is about that guy, I don’t know if it’s because he looks like Eddie Munster and I just want to kick him in the f*cking face, or the fact that everyone’s like ‘oh he finally did it, he finally got his WrestleMania main event’, like good for you old man, 60 years old, took you 45 years to accomplish your one goal, like god damn dude it’s about time.

Mysterio also pointed out that Punk’s main event spot in 2025 was given solely to silence his complaints. The 28-year-old added that if he got the chance to face the former AEW star, he would prove why he was the true Best in the World today. Mysterio believed The Second City Saint hides behind his fans to protect his reputation, as he’s afraid of real competition.

Since The Straight Edge Superstar’s return in 2023, Punk and Mysterio have clashed several times in the ring. However, a full-fledged singles feud between them has yet to materialize. Based on these recent comments, it’s clear that Dirty Dom remains interested in working with the former AEW star. With the Intercontinental Championship on Mysterio’s shoulder, this could set the stage for a compelling feud this summer.

CM Punk never misses a chance to throw shade at Dominik Mysterio. Fans have been eager to see the two go head-to-head multiple times, but their feud keeps getting delayed. Recently, during an Instagram Live, a fan asked Punk a question about the Intercontinental Championship, and the former AEW star had a hilarious response.

During the live session, a fan asked the 46-year-old if he would be interested in pursuing the Intercontinental Championship in the future. Punk replied that he’d love to chase the prestigious title, but admitted he had no idea who the current champion was. When fans reminded him that Mysterio holds the belt, The Best in the World laughed and said it would be fun.

Moreover, in previous interviews, The Second City Saint stated that he wanted to earn respect from Dominik—something Rey Mysterio failed to do. He saw this as an opportunity to put the 28-year-old in his place and set him on the right path. It will be interesting to see how Dirty Dom responds to such disrespect moving forward.

Dominik Mysterio revealed how much WWE paid him for his first stint in the company

Dominik Mysterio first appeared on WWE TV in 2005 during the legendary feud between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. At just eight years old, he played an active role on the show, leading WWE to compensate him with a small salary for his performance.

Speaking on Intoxicados, Mysterio revealed that WWE paid him $5,000 for his role in the iconic Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio storyline in 2005. He described it as a fun experience in the ring, with the paycheck being the cherry on top. However, the real fun came after a single trip to Toys R Us, where he spent $400—only to be told by his parents that he had nothing left afterward.

The 28-year-old called this experience one of the reasons behind his iconic heel turn on his father in 2022. He said his parents had been exploiting his talent since he was a child, which is why he no longer feels comfortable with them. Nonetheless, that early stint in 2005 laid the foundation for Dom’s popularity and his current rise in WWE.
