Ahead of next month’s presidential elections in the US, Donald Trump joined WWE legend The Undertaker on his Six Feet Under podcast. The opening few minutes of their conversation saw Trump delve into the world of pro wrestling. It made him inquisitive about the highest-followed wrestler on social media at the moment. Taker and his co-host Matt Lyda said it’s The Rock.
Just then the former US President took a stroll down memory lane to an incident that painted him as a blood-spattered hero among his votaries. It was back in July when the Republican Party politician was shot while addressing a rally in Pennsylvania. The bullet left a glancing blow on his right ear. Donald had escaped an attempt of assassination, raising his fist up high as a gesture of resilience.
Mr. Trump received countrywide acclaim that also included a call from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. As Trump mentioned during the podcast, he never thought that the Hollywood actor liked him. Not sure if he even does now, but the former president was pleasantly surprised when Rock reached out to him after that incident.
Trump revealed that UFC president Dana White was the one who shared his number with The People’s Champ, as the latter had asked for it. Back in September, the Black Adam star subtly praised the 78-year-old for standing up like he did after the assassination attempt.
The Rock further unpacked that the Republican nominee would use to come to watch him wrestle back in the day. As things stand, The Great One hasn’t publicly endorsed either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris in the elections. In 2020, The Final Boss did back Joe Biden but has since regretted making that call.
Which WWE greats have endorsed Donald Trump to be the next US President?
It does seem like Donald Trump can bank on a number of retired WWE wrestlers as he envisions yet another term of office in the White House. The Brothers of Destruction, viz., The Undertaker and Kane, are clearly two of the pro-Trump exponents.
In a recently uploaded TikTok video, the three of them converged to pull the voter’s attention. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is also one of Trump’s biggest supporters. The Hulkster has previously labeled the 45th US President as his hero. One man who doesn’t buy any of Donald’s ideologies is Dave Bautista.
The retired wrestler stands with Kamala Harris and vice president candidate Tim Walz. Dave sparked headlines for chastising Trump and calling him a little pink chickadee over his fear of being exposed as a hypocrite.
