Recently, Draymond Green had turned a corner and put his differences with Dillon Brooks aside to praise the Phoenix Suns forward, even claiming the latter was All-Star ready.

The Warriors star felt that the Canadian had done enough to garner an All-Star selection. At the time, basketball fans were caught off guard by this praise, as generally Green and Brooks were at odds.

Then, when the Suns’ star continued to battle it out with LeBron James, many felt this was bound to lure the four-time champion into saying something about Dillon ‘The Villain’ Brooks.

But he did not, and never mentioned the Suns forward for a while. Now, that has changed, and a pretty agitated Draymond Green said this on his namesake show.

I found it funny… What made guys really comfortable with having these podcasts was because I was an All-Star and a world champion, NBA champion in the same year. We heard that noise before… Say Draymond name, I get a little more attention. That’s cute.

The 35-year-old reminded Brooks that he faced a lot of noise when he started his podcast. What eased matters was that he already had All-Star selections and NBA championships under his belt.

Those accomplishments have only grown, and Dillon Brooks should not be talking about Draymond Green and Paul George not being good at basketball. From this ‘diss’, the Michigan native felt that maybe the Oregon star had something in the works.

Draymond Green believes Dillon Brooks is trying to launch his own media business

While talking about Dillon Brooks‘ diss at Paul George and Draymond Green’s podcast, the latter felt that all the recent signs suggest that the Suns forward is trying to garner attention.

He’s been kind of going on other people’s streams and just talking. Too much, if you will… Look out for something big from Dillon Brooks. Maybe he is about to become a streamer… He keeps talking like he’s trying to create these headlines.

Green believes that with appearances on Agent and N3on‘s live streams, along with these headline-grabbing comments, Brooks might be trying to start his own stream, podcast, or something else.

It is similar to how artists, particularly those in the music industry, start talking about other famous artists to try to draw the attention of both the media and fans. That way, when their album launches, the said artist has all the attention on their product. Green believes that the 30-year-old‘s actions suggest that something similar is about to happen.

Draymond Green wants Dillon Brooks to continue playing hard despite All-Star snub

After talking about how Dillon Brooks’ shots might just be a way to garner attention ahead of his media launch, Draymond Green reverted to talking about the former’s All-Star snub.

Unfortunate that he wasn’t able to make his first All-Star game… It’s the first time in his career that he played at an All-Star level… Gotta keep putting the work in. Maybe (it) happens next year, maybe you are a replacement this year. We’ll see… He’s been doing well for him.

Green said

The former Defensive Player of the Year reiterated his belief that Brooks had played well enough to garner an All-Star call-up. However, it did not work out, as Green’s close friend LeBron James got his 22nd straight call.

However, Green continued to motivate the 6′ 7″ forward, believing that there is still a chance that Brooks gets a call to travel to Los Angeles and feature in the All-Star game as a replacement.

Injuries can happen to one or two of those already selected, as there are nearly two weeks before the game. Therefore, he urged the defensive menace to stay ready.
