Draymond Green gets into it with anyone and everyone he can. As a player who uses his tenacity along with his prowess on defense and playmaking to become a 4-time champion, there is no way he would back down against anyone.
There were times when that tenacity led to some unwanted decisions in the past, and the 35-year-old has paid the price in terms of lost paychecks due to suspension, and his team suffered as a consequence.
They need him to be their primary defensive anchor and playmaker, as his high IQ and awareness have helped the Warriors be the most successful team of the past decade.
Nowadays, he still gets into it with players, but ensures there is a line he does not cross. During their road game against the New Orleans Pelicans, a fan decided he could talk trash to the former Defensive Player of the Year.
Clips show Draymond Green walking up to a fan seated courtside and getting into a war of words with him. The fan was all smiles as he knew the Warriors’ star could not touch him.
The Michigan native was seen apparently telling the fan to ‘watch your mouth.’ Then, as an official and teammates came to separate them, Green walked away.

He knew any retaliation would lead to a surefire suspension, fine, and any other form of reprimand the NBA deems fit. Pelicans fans cheered their own as it seems he had rattled the Warriors star.
Draymond Green reveals what the fan told him
Draymond Green continued with the game and ended up having the last laugh as the Warriors blew the Pelicans out by nearly 20 points. After the game, reporters caught up with the 4-time All-Star and asked him about the incident with the fan.
He just kept calling me a woman. It was a good joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman. I’ve got four kids and one on the way… He got quiet, though, so it was fine.

Green went on to reveal that game official Courtney Kirkland kept reminding him that he did well to control himself and not go over the line. Then, another reporter asked Green if he felt it was a disrespect to be compared to the ‘woman’ the fan was referring to in his taunts.

When the reporter added that the said ‘woman’ was a great rebounder, Draymond Green agreed, and then stated that WNBA legend Lisa Leslie was a great rebounder too, but it would be disrespectful to those women.
The Associated Press spoke with the fan in question and came to know that he had called the Warriors star ‘Angel Reese.’ That was because some of Green’s early rebounds were from his own misses.
It seems the father of four took offense at being called by the WNBA superstar’s name. Calling anyone by the name of Angel Reese is often used to indicate that a person is having a bad night on the court and is grabbing their own rebounds.
Draymond Green’s not-so-great shooting night led fan to call him ‘Angel Reese’
With age and experience, Draymond Green has learned easier ways to score baskets. However, in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans, he could not get into a rhythm.

The forward/center attempted 13 shots in the nearly 25 minutes he was on the court. Out of those, just 3 fell through. He did have 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.
However, 4 of those 10 were offensive rebounds, which is why the fan taunted him with ‘Angel Reese’ chants. Green also turned the ball over 5 times and drew 4 personal fouls. Had it been against a decent opponent, this game could have been a disaster.
