“Needs to be punched” – Draymond Green’s insensitive insinuation on Karl-Anthony Towns missing Warriors matchup sparks fire among fans
Warriors star Draymond Green left the NBA community baffled with his latest take regarding Karl-Anthony Towns.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Draymond Green
The Golden State Warriors recently faced the New York Knicks and secured a win at Madison Square Garden. However, the Knicks were without one of their key players, Karl-Anthony Towns, who missed the game due to a personal tragedy. Towns was reportedly attending a close friend’s funeral on Tuesday.
However, Warriors veteran Draymond Green had a different take. Known for his bold and often controversial opinions, Green claimed that Karl-Anthony Towns skipped the Warriors game out of fear of facing their newest acquisition, Jimmy Butler. His remarks, however, did not sit well with the NBA community.
Some would say he didn’t play because Jimmy was in the building… they said KAT ain’t play because Jimmy came to town.

It’s important to note that it was Jordyn Woods‘ (KAT’s girlfriend) mom’s best friend, Sarah, who passed away due to cancer. Both KAT and Elizabeth Woods took to their socials to put forward their condolences towards Sarah and her family.

Since both stars left the Minnesota Timberwolves, Towns has faced Butler on several occasions. This is including early this season when Butler was playing for the Miami Heat. In addition, KAT has been playing brilliantly for the Knicks this season.
There could be no reason KAT would miss a game due to a player. However, it was Green who faced the wrath of the NBA fans all over the world for his remarks regarding KAT.

Green’s comments have caused immediate backlash, with prominent figures in sports media demanding accountability. One of the first people to express worry was Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, who called Green’s remarks “reckless and inappropriate.” Bondy scolded Green and his podcast co-host in a scathing tweet for not doing their research before making such statements.
