While it garnered widespread reactions from the WWE Universe, some, including former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, voiced their concerns. The Scottish Warrior took to the ring to criticize the announcement, issuing a massive warning to The OTC ahead of the Royal Rumble.

Paul Heyman, representing The Tribal Chief, was addressing the WWE 2K25 announcement when he was interrupted by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre entered the ring, aiming to intimidate the Hall of Famer, and mockingly referred to himself as the “Daddy of The Bloodline.” He took shots at Reigns, critiquing his work over the past four years, and warned Heyman that he’s coming after The Needle Mover at Royal Rumble.
