Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have had the hottest feud of the summer this year, and the rivalry shows no signs of stopping any time soon. The Best in the World picked up a victory over his opponent at Bash in Berlin in a strap match. However, the Scottish wrestler soon got his revenge two days later on the latest episode of Raw.
McIntyre recently posted a collage on X, featuring photos from his beatdown on the former AEW star and from Game of Thrones. The first photo featured the Chosen One shoving his thumbs into Punk’s eyes. He compared this segment to the death of Oberyn Martell, who was killed after Gregor Clegane pressed against his eyes and crushed his head.
Following Bash in Berlin, Punk announced that he had successfully beaten his arch-nemesis. Thus, it was now time for him to focus on the World Heavyweight Championship. He even called out Gunther on the latest episode of Raw. However, he was ambushed after a surprise attack from McIntyre.
The Scottish Psychopath hit his rival with a Claymore and stole his bracelet once again. This time, instead of wearing it, McIntyre decided to break the bracelet apart. He continued to shove the beads down Punk’s throat before being separated by match officials.
Drew McIntyre surprisingly gives a complement to his arch nemesis CM Punk
There have been a lot of foul things said during this rivalry over the past few months. However, Drew McIntyre shocked the wrestling world by paying a few compliments to the Voice of the Voiceless during a recent appearance on NotSam Wrestling.
McIntyre claimed that it was a stretch to say that CM Punk was evenly matched against him. The Scotsman was 6’5, weighed 280 pounds, and was a cardio machine. However, when the 45-year-old claimed that his heart was the best thing going for him, it might’ve been true. However, the Chosen One thought that it was Punk’s stubbornness that allowed him to never give up.
Honestly, I’ve been in the ring with the best of the best in the past ten years. He still ranks right up there, as much as I take the p*ss, rightfully so, he still can get it done in the ring.
