John Cena has become a victim to Drew McIntyre's latest jibe at him. The latter mocked the wrestler-turned-actor's backstage pull in WWE.

On March 1, six of WWE’s cream of the crop males are going to duke it out inside the Elimination Chamber. Whoever owns that night in Toronto will punch his ticket to WrestleMania 41 and challenge for the world title. Drew McIntyre is the latest entry into the chamber match, joining arch-rival CM Punk and John Cena.

It’s a well-known fact that Cena didn’t go through a qualifier and was essentially given a bye for the men’s chamber. Taking offense to it, The Scottish Psychopath mocked the Peacemaker actor on X. Hailing SmackDown as the land of opportunities, he said he’s earned a spot in the Elimination Chamber the right way, unlike John, who used his stroke.

Adding insult to injury, the fans have already been disappointed by the fact that The Cenation Leader isn’t slated for any WWE appearance until the Canada-hosted PLE. He flew out to Hungary immediately after the Royal Rumble to resume filming Matchbox. Out of the rumored 36 dates Cena has obliged to WWE for his farewell tour, he’s left with 34.

One could deduce that Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect would be a regular feature on WWE TV beginning a month prior to WrestleMania 41 and thereafter. Even though Cena and Drew didn’t cross paths in the men’s Rumble, they’re on a collision course. The 6-man Elimination Chamber field is a far cry from being finalized.

Three men are yet to qualify, one of whom could be either Logan Paul or Rey Mysterio. They’re set for a qualifying match on Raw this Monday. Seth Rollins is also expected to go in. Also, Jacob Fatu, Braun Strowman, and Damian Priest will slug it out on SmackDown next week to vie for the last quota.

Drew McIntyre is upset with WWE booking despite an incredible 2024

Things have been quite tumultuous with Drew McIntyre of late. It all began at the Royal Rumble. The Scot was reportedly incensed at his elimination from the match. McIntyre was tossed out by Damian Priest, which failed to resonate with the fans.

A report stated that a rattled Drew started cursing backstage before storming out of the building. Later, it was disclosed that the heat was directed at LA Knight, who messed up McIntyre’s spot inadvertently. On SmackDown this Friday, The Megastar referenced it, leaving the former WWE Champion in chuckles.

McIntyre’s issues weren’t just confined to it, by the way. The Chosen One was also upset after learning that Priest would be his WrestleMania opponent. Drew believes that he deserves to be featured in a more significant spot at Mania after the kind of year he’s had in 2024.
