Drew McIntyre still hasn’t stopped badmouthing CM Punk, especially after what transpired at WrestleMania XL. Recently, during a house show in the UK, The Scottish Warrior took another brutal shot at his injury. The former World Heavyweight Champion fought ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso last night in a singles match and lost.
Before his match against Jey Uso even started, Drew McIntyre grabbed the microphone. He addressed the WWE Universe and mocked CM Punk about his inability to wrestle due to injury. The Scottish Warrior then gave his own example and claimed that, unlike his adversary, he was still working every week despite being hurt.
The Second City Saint wrestled in his first televised match at the 2024 Royal Rumble. However, during the match, he suffered a torn-triceps injury when McIntyre hit him with a Future Shock DDT. Since then, the 38-year-old has constantly trolled him on social media, reminding fans how he shattered Punk’s WrestleMania dreams. The Best in the World finally got his revenge at WrestleMania when Damian Priest cashed in his MITB contract on McIntyre.

The Best in the World didn’t stop there, as one night later on Raw, he cost McIntyre a title opportunity by distracting him. Needless to say, there is a lot of bad blood amplifying between them amid the personal attacks from both sides. Fans are heavily awaiting Punk’s in-ring return and his eventual one-on-one bout against the two-time WWE Champion.
Drew McIntyre sends a message to fans after embarrassing WrestleMania loss
When The Chosen One lost his title in just 5 minutes and 46 seconds at WrestleMania XL, he became a laughing stock among fans. In fact, many thought that McIntyre would lessen the mocking and trolling of other superstars on social media. However, they were completely wrong.
The Scottish Warrior took to X and revealed that he wouldn’t change himself just because of what happened at the Show of Shows. McIntyre then took another shot at Punk, calling him out for his hypocritical comments on never needing another star’s name to sell merchandise.

Despite his claims on social media, McIntyre proved that he is still obsessed with Punk on Raw. During a backstage segment, he flipped over a television, which showed how The Second City Saint cost him a title opportunity last week. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead of the 38-year-old.
