Dubai ATP 500 playing field announced, the alternative players are ready too

The Dubai ATP 5OO tournament is a flagship event of the ATP. On Tuesday it announced the playing field for the tournament along with the alternatives. Leading the field will be Roger Federer the 8 time champion.
In the main list we have players like Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem, Kei Nishikori, Denis Shapovalov, Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini, Nick Kyrgios. In the alternatives we have players such as Fernando Verdasco, Jiri Vesely, Lucas Pouille etc.
Journey from Dubai 250 to Dubai ATP 500
Dubai ATP 500 was initially known as Dubai 250. It was founded in 1993, and it wasn’t until 2001 that ATP gave it the Dubai 500 status. Once it became a ATP 500 event, it saw a plethora of stars make a beeline for it.
Roger Federer the most successful star at ATP Dubai 500
Federer is the most successful tennis player at the Dubai 500 event. As the event got the ATP 500 status, almost simultaneously Federer started participating and winning the tournament. The swiss maestro has won the tournament a record 8 times, and made the finals the most time as well. He has won the event in 2003–05, 2007, 2012, 2014–15, and in 2019 where he beat rising star Stefanos Tsitsipas. With that win Federer had also won his 100th ATP Title.
