24 hours ago, Cody Rhodes suffered a brutal beatdown from The Rock, Travis Scott, and John Cena. The latter had turned on Rhodes, cementing his heel turn at the Elimination Chamber. To say it was a humiliation would be an understatement, as the Hollywood stars piled on Rhodes’ misery. As expected, there were several contrasting reactions weighing in from fans, including Cody’s brother, Dustin Rhodes.
The AEW star took to his X account to express his anger at both Rock and Cena. Needless to say, the Rhodes family wasn’t pleased with what had transpired on Saturday. Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, also made her feelings about the betrayal loud and clear.

Going into Elimination Chamber, Rhodes had a major career decision to make. After The Final Boss demanded his soul, Rhodes flat-out denied the offer. The American Nightmare thought he had made his idol proud, but what he didn’t know was that Cena had already sold his own soul. The sixteen-time world champion’s expression changed as he delivered a low blow to Rhodes.

Almost twelve years after their rivalry, Cena and Rock had joined forces to take down the 39-year-old star. More importantly, The Franchise Player turned heel for the first time since 2003, doing so in the last year of his career.
A ‘robotic’ Cena laid a vicious beatdown on Rhodes, even using Dusty Rhodes‘ watch to brutalize him. Later, Scott and The Rock joined in as a helpless Cody Rhodes bled from the heinous attack. The Undisputed WWE Champion was left alone inside the ring while the trio of Cena, Rock, and Scott watched on from the ramp.
The Rock provides update on John Cena’s status after Elimination Chamber
Following Elimination Chamber, The Rock attended the post-show press conference. While John Cena left without saying a word, The Final Boss did answer some questions from the media. The Moana star had confirmed that Cena would be flying out to Africa immediately after the show due to his Hollywood commitments.
As such, the sixteen-time world champion is unlikely to be appearing on WWE programming in the upcoming weeks. Moreover, Cena has been advertised for the upcoming European tour, where he will feature on three consecutive Raw episodes. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes will have to wait for answers as his misery continues.
In the past few months, Rhodes has faced multiple betrayals from his friends. Despite that, The American Nightmare has managed to somehow keep his Undisputed WWE Title intact. Keeping that in mind, it will be interesting to see how Rhodes faces this newly formed partnership of The Rock and Cena on the road to WrestleMania.
