Days after Elimination Chamber, the wrestling world is still reeling from the shocking ending to the PLE. John Cena turned heel in the final year of his WWE career, joining forces with The Rock and betraying Cody Rhodes. Cena, along with The Rock and Travis Scott, laid a brutal beatdown on Rhodes, leaving him in a bloody mess. Providing an update on his brother, Dustin Rhodes took to his X account.

The ROH Tag Team Champion asserted that The American Nightmare would be fine. Moreover, he claimed that Rhodes would avenge what transpired at the Elimination Chamber soon. Dustin Rhodes was not at all pleased with The Rock and Cena’s actions, lashing out at the duo following the attack. Another Rhodes family member who made their feelings well-known was Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes. The latter had taken a shot at The Franchise Player as well.

Cody is gonna be ok. Hell is coming.

Cena not only delivered a low-blow to Cody, but also went on to hit him with Dusty Rhodes‘ watch. Furthermore, the sixteen-time world champion assisted The Final Boss as he whipped the 39-year-old with a belt. Rhodes also suffered a ruptured eardrum and a black eye after Scott legitimately hit him during the beatdown.

Following the devastating night in Toronto, WWE confirmed that Cody Rhodes would appear on this coming Friday’s SmackDown episode. The former AEW EVP is expected to address the attack and more importantly, his idol’s betrayal. Meanwhile, John Cena is currently in Africa shooting for an upcoming film. The Cenation Leader will make his next appearance during WWE’s upcoming European Tour.

Update on The Rock’s next appearance on the road to WrestleMania

While John Cena’s next appearances have been confirmed, The Rock’s status for WrestleMania is currently in flux. During their recent Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes provided an important update on The Final Boss. According to sources, the Hollywood actor might appear on one of the upcoming Raw episodes in Europe.

However, there is no indication in which of the three cities (Brussels, Glasgow, London) he’ll show up in. The Great One made his WWE return on the Raw Netflix debut. During the episode, he seemingly buried the hatchet with Cody Rhodes, with many speculating that he would not be involved in this year’s WrestleMania build.

A month later, The Rock graced the WWE Universe with his presence again. Needless to say, The People’s Champion TKO power allows him to pay a visit whenever he pleases. Taking that into account, it will be interesting to see what he has to say the next time he appears on programming.
