Almost a year ago, TKO welcomed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the newest member of the company’s Board of Directors. In addition to that, Johnson acquired the full ownership rights to ‘The Rock’ name. According to the SEC filing, The Rock received almost $30 million of TKO stock. Well, it seems that the Endeavor-owned promotion has rewarded The People’s Champion following a financially successful year.

The latest SEC filing states that The Rock has acquired 96,557 shares of TKO stock, which are worth $13.75 million. As such, this means that Rock now has ownership over a total of 289,673 TKO shares, worth around $42 million. Further details behind this recent move have not been disclosed yet. However, some believe this was not a coincidental move by TKO.

If he does return to WWE on Raw, one would expect The Rock to kickstart a program with Cody Rhodes. In his last appearance, the legend vowed to come after Rhodes once he returned. The duo had engaged in an intense and personal rivalry during the road to WrestleMania XL.

The Rock turned heel after fans revolted against the idea of him replacing The American Nightmare in the main event. However, this resulted in a rejuvenated run, where he delivered some of the best work of his career. As such, fans cannot wait to see the Moana star back in action.

WWE reportedly expecting The Rock to compete at WrestleMania 41

On Friday, however, Dave Metlzer reported on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that some in the company believe that The Rock is indeed working WrestleMania. If so, he will be most likely facing Cody Rhodes at the Showcase of Immortals.

Current plans are for The American Nightmare to defend his Undisputed WWE Title against John Cena. However, if The Rock is available in the coming months, this would change with Rock facing Rhodes and Cena squaring off against Gunther.
