The Philadelphia Eagles won the third game of their season after beating the Cleveland Browns 20-16. It was supposed to be a positive night for head coach Nick Sirianni but he put himself on the negative side of Philly fans as he mocked them with gestures and engaged in a back-and-forth while walking off Lincoln Financial Field.
Nick Sirianni justified his actions later on in the post-game press conference by dubbing them as his way of showing passion and energy towards the game. However, his answer further irked the fanbase. Emmanuel Acho of FS1’s The Facility put things into perspective for the head coach and why his behavior was not right.
Philly fans are a different breed, they are arguably the most passionate of the bunch, and that is something that Sirianni should know by now.

He then brought up the 2013 matchup between the Eagles and Lions at Lincoln Financial Field where fans made sure to support the home team by enduring 8 inches of snow in unfavorable weather conditions.
Nick Sirianni has damaged his reputation in front of the Eagles fans with his conduct
Acho was making the point that Eagles fans affiliate themselves with the successes and failures of the team. So when the team is not doing well, it is not unusual to see them be frustrated and boo their own players because they want them to do better.
As the head coach of the Eagles, Nick Sirianni must be accustomed to this by now. It would seem that he was trying to show them the same energy back that they did him but nothing good came out of it.
Considering the circumstances the Eagles find themselves in, a team filled with top talent but one that is concerningly inconsistent, Sirianni trying to play the villain’s role is not helping improve his image. These fans might mock the head coach and the team but that is to bring out the best in them. Eagles fans have stood up and showed up for the organization when called upon, they deserve to be respected for that.
Nick Sirianni should know better, hopefully, this incident enables him to understand that he should be talking trash to opposing fanbases, not his own. Philadelphia won its third game of the season by beating the Cleveland Browns. They go on to face the New York Giants on Sunday and are favorites to win.
