- Mike Vrabel is facing scrutiny over alleged relationship with NFL reporter Dianna Russini.
- Emmanuel Acho suggests a private investigator may have been involved in obtaining photos of the pair.
- An anonymous tipster reportedly took the photos and sought payment from media outlets for the information.
Mike Vrabel‘s alleged illicit relationship with prominent NFL reporter/insider Dianna Russini is topping the charts of every gossip column across the nation. Why wouldn’t it be? It’s not every day that a reputed and married NFL head coach gets entangled in such a scandalous situation.
Page Six of the New York Post was the first to post snapshots of Vrabel allegedly cozying up to Russini at a Florida establishment. It would not have been an issue if both were single. But that’s not the case.
Vrabel has been married for over 25 years, while Russini took her vows in 2020. So, one can imagine the surprise when the photos found their way onto Twitter and other social media platforms.
Now here’s the catch: who took those photos? They were clearly taken from a distance in order to avoid getting caught. Emmanuel Acho raised this question in the latest episode of Speakeasy.
Here’s what nobody is talking about in regards to [Dianna] Russini and [Mike] Vrabel. Somebody hired a private investigator, and why is nobody discussing it??… That was not a fan who just happened to be wandering through Sedona, Arizona, and was like, “oh is that Mike Vrabel, and who’s that mystery woman?”

Acho makes a good point, but he shouldn’t be the one to talk about the Vrabel-Russini scandal. Last year, Acho himself was in the news for something similar.
A report indicated that he had an inappropriate workplace relationship with his FOX Sports colleague, Joy Taylor. The network quickly removed them from their positions. Acho started Speakeasy with former NFL running back LeSean McCoy, and per the latest news, Taylor has also created a podcast titled “Two Personal” and is open to other gigs in media.
A report has emerged on who took the photos of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini
Around the time Acho made his point, Front Office Sports published an article revealing the identity of the camera guy who took the spy shots of Vrabel and Russini. According to FOS, it was an “anonymous tipster.”

The “tipster” reached out to multiple outlets, asking for payment for tipping them about Vrabel and Russini. Later, the experts at TMZ recognized the two people in the photo.
When TMZ [staffers] evaluated the photos, they eventually realized that it was [Dianna] Russini. The anonymous tipster was not from a known paparazzi or photo agency, and requested an unspecified sum in the ‘four figures.’ As TMZ’s newsroom deliberated whether this was a legitimate story or too ‘bedroom police-y,’ the Post’s Page Six vertical ran with it, rendering the debate moot, a source said.

Who is Mike Vrabel married to?
Vrabel, 50, is married to Jennifer (Jen) Vrabel. The pair met while studying at Ohio State University. Vrabel starred for the Buckeyes football team, and Jen was the ace of the women’s volleyball squad.
In 1997, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Vrabel, and two years later, he and Jen tied the knot. Vrabel and Jen have two sons, Tyler and Carter. Tyler played on the offensive line of the Boston College Eagles. Tyler went undrafted in 2022 before the Atlanta Falcons gave him a shot on the practice squad.
Carter, on the other hand, picked baseball as his gig. Initially, he started at Volunteer State Community College before transferring to Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles for his final year in college.

So far, Jen and the Vrabel boys have stayed quiet about the scandal. On the football side of things, the 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner. The New England Patriots hold the 31st pick in the first round and are projected to select University of Georgia linebacker CJ Allen.
