Enes Kanter Freedom has been actively speaking up against the WNBA and NBA's practices since leaving the sport in 2022.

Enes Kanter Freedom might be in the news for all the controversial reasons, but the man did play in the league for 11 seasons. That means he knows the league’s rules.
The 34-year-old could not continue after the 2021-22 season, as the Houston Rockets felt he was no longer up to the task of playing efficiently.
Kanter Freedom tried to make a hue and cry about it, claiming that he was essentially blackballed by the league for speaking out against the Chinese government for its atrocities against the Muslim community.
However, Commissioner Adam Silver denied that it had anything to do with it and also encouraged the center to continue speaking up for what he felt was the right thing to do.
While the 6’10” star could not get the platform he wanted at the time, his subsequent efforts to lean towards far-right opinions have led him to get a platform on right-leaning shows.
The latest was when Outkick founder Clay Travis invited Enes Kanter Freedom onto his show, Sport n State. While speaking about how the NBA and its players functioned in the 2020 NBA Bubble, the big man revealed this:
They were passing away this, some kind of like a password. So you can literally just go on and watch any OnlyF*ns model you want for free.
Enes Kanter Freedom said
The Turkish-American clarified that this had nothing to do with the league or the Boston Celtics. Rather, it was just his then-teammates doing that. However, he did not want to do it, as it was ‘against his morals.’
Enes Kanter Freedom reveals how homophobic NBA players are
After talking about the shenanigans of his former teammates, Clay Travis asked Enes Kanter Freedom if NBA players were supportive of the LGBTQ and trans communities, who primarily make up the WNBA.

Over 70-80% of NBA locker rooms are homophobic. They hate the LGBTQ community, they hate the trans community. But they will never come out and say it.
Enes Kanter Freedom replied
The former Oklahoma City Thunder center said most NBA players don’t want anything to do with those communities, and many despise them. But for the sake of keeping the peace with the sister league, or with others who talk about it in their communities, they do not revolt.
Kanter Freedom noted that even those who aren’t very religious do not like those groups and would never be comfortable with a gay teammate. The league has had only a handful of them. That is probably why there was never a big hue and cry about it.
Enes Kanter Freedom goes back to trolling the WNBA
Once the conversation moved into the controversial side of how the WNBA operates, Clay Travis and Enes Kanter Freedom waltzed into a conversation about how good the latter can be if he plays in the women’s league.
If you put me in the WNBA finals right now, I could easily score 60, 70 points. All I have to do is just put backs and dunks.
Kanter Freedom said
This was in continuation of his stance of fighting the WNBA for his right to play in the league. Even though his draft eligibility request has been denied, nothing has stopped Kanter Freedom from talking about it.
He might be in the process of fighting his lawsuit against the Chicago Sky for incorrectly throwing him out after a confrontation with Natasha Cloud, but it seems he does not want to stop his activism.
Enes Kanter Freedom is confident that he can be dominant in the WNBA. It seems that since the league has not clarified its eligibility rules, he still believes he has a fight he can win.
