With only a few weeks remaining in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, Epic Games has brought back the annual Fortnitemares event. The Halloween-themed event created by Fortnite’s developers includes new skins, quests, weaponry, and more. Halloween-themed ornaments are strewn around the entire landscape, giving a spooky vibe to the game.

The Witch Broom in Fortnite has also gone live with the new event. The item inherently isn’t new and has been a part of every Fortnitemares event we have seen in the past.

The Witch Broom is a fun way to travel across the map. Many players have also used it to hit some marvelous shots and create epic match-winning moments in the popular battle royale.

Find and use the Witch Broom in Fortnite

A Witch Broom can be found as regular loot inside the game and is not exclusive to any particular location. You can come across it as floor loot or find it in chests. The item belongs to the Mythic rarity class and, thus, will not be easy to come by in the game. The spawn rates of this item are slightly higher than other mythic loots in the game as it is tied to the Fortnitemares 2023 event.

A weekly quest in the game challenges you to travel 500m across the map on a witch broom. Completion of the challenge grants you 15,000 XP. Get your hands on a witch broom, and you will be ready to initiate the quest. Equip the said item and press the shoot button to activate it. Upon pressing the button, the witch broom will launch you high into the air.

You can now ride the broom and glide across the map. You can travel wide distances using the broom, which allows you to gain better positioning or get inside the circle quickly. Eventually, you will hit the ground automatically as you descend while gliding. You can also press the shoot button again to cancel the glide and immediately fall back to the ground. Cancelling the glide in between will not cause you to take fall damage.

Repeat these steps until you have travelled over 500 metres with the item, and you will complete your quest. To complete the challenge easily, you can also find a cliff that will allow you to get your experience faster without using exploits. Initiate the glide right next to a cliff, and you will be able to gain more height before you hit the ground. This allows you to glide for longer and cover more distance.
